THINK Reference 1.0 Demo is a full-featured demo version of THINK Reference, the fast, intelligent guide for Macintosh programmers. THINK Reference contains information about the Macintosh Toolbox from volumes I-V of Inside Macintosh. It gives you instant access to Toolbox routines, data structures, examples, and tips.
INSTALLING THINK REFERENCE DEMO
================================
THINK Reference Demo is in a Compact Pro self-extracting archive. To extract it, double click on the file “THINK Reference Demo.sea”. Then click on the Extract button. When the extractor is done, you'll find a folder called “THINK Reference 1.0 Demo” on your disk. Open this folder and double-click on the THINK Reference Demo application.
If the disk you received the demo on does not contain the file “THINK Reference Demo.sea”, the demo has already been extracted into the “THINK Reference 1.0 Demo” folder for you. Just drag it to your disk, and launch the application.
USING THINK REFERENCE
======================
When you launch THINK Reference Demo, you'll see a list of Macintosh Toolbox routines. Click on the entry for BeginUpdate. (You may have to scroll down on smaller screens.) You'll instantly see the description of this Toolbox routine. Click on anything else that is underlined and watch what happens.
To learn how to use THINK Reference, look at the Online Help… command under the Apple menu. This page tells you how to navigate using hyperlinks, what the menu commands do, and how the buttons work.
